Rust of the rear is common mate, you also want to check inner wheel arches as they prone to rotting.

Well check everywhere for rot faults n stuff n way up ur options if you pay for repairs ur guna need to keep it for a while so ur not at a loss as much

its quite an easy place to weld aswell just take wheel off. mines over 100k now aswell still goin good though, wouldnt be if the last owner still had it prob be scrapped by now. but i like my car and want to keep it on the road. just about replaced everything, head gasket gettin done this week lol

jesus 2.5k. im payin about 500 im 27 though. suppose all depends on how much you like the car.

even if you sell it on your probably gonna take a loss because the new owner is gonna need to get it done anyway so either way your gonna be losing some cash, mightaswell just get it done.

shame your so far away could have done this for you on the side cheap headgasket and all

and 2.5k is mad i pay £826 no no claims at 20 fully comp

Unforchnantly this happens when cars get old, not a big job to fix tho so if you do love the car get some mates together cut out the problem and reweld in a sheet over the arches, job done!

Easy job to do but if the heads going Aswel then it might be worth selling, if you like saxos you could always get another one in better condition

ah i forgot about the head going aswell, think i'd probably cut my losses if it was mine and get a newer/better condition saxo with a good shell if you still want to stick with saxo's
