Is it called a slam panel?

    Hey all, I picked up a saxo VTR mk1 today that has had a bit of a bump on the front end.

    My question is, what is the panel off the front called - behind the grille and that the bonnet latch goes through? ( it also goes 'around' the head lamps).

    I think its called the slam panel but wanted to check?!

    (The problem is that it looks bent and the bonnet wont latch shut properly).

    My next question is - will any slam panel from a mk1 fit or are lower spec models different?

    Yeah it is called a slam pannel and im pretty certain that lower spec models ones will fit, but id double check!

    Cheers for the help guys. Cant believe Ive already been offered a couple of slam panels, this is proving to be easier than I thought

    Im skint until after Xmas now though, I literally spent the last of my monies on the car.

    Dunno what Im gonna do about going out over Xmas

    hahah yeh i's like the easiest thing to take off a car when stripping (as it's normally off when the engine is removed)

    in no rush to sell mine but if it doesn't sell (like all the bits i have) before i start work on the fiesta then it'll be going down the tip.
