New parts from Ebay?

  1. #1
    Hello

I want to replace both driveshafts, both track rod ends and both wishbones with new ones.

I am also going to get new dampers, front struts and top mounts

My question is, are the new ones on Ebay any good to buy?

I can get both driveshafts, wishbones and track rod ends for like £180 which is almost half Eurocarparts and clearly much cheaper than Citroen.

Here is one example on ebay

    Cheers

I'd say shop around first see what's best ie what fits your budget, other peoples reviews and how long guarantee you get.

A friend of mine bought droplinks of ebay few months ago, they seemed to be very good quality aswell. Just depends really what company it is.

I'd stay away frm euro car parts droplinks tho, the gaitors seem to rip after a few weeks

most parts are cheap on ebay for a reason, but on this website you can get q-drive driveshafts for the same price

I had my Driveshafts from the same ebay shop you listed.

Been on 6 months now, no problems at all.
They felt and looked really good quality tbh.

    Yeah, they're brand new.

All shiny and shit. Come with the hub nuts too..which is handy, as I bought a pair not thinking they'd send some with the shafts.

i bought some to fit to my old 106 just before i sold it. cant comment on how long they lasted as i did about 6 miles with them on, but they certainly felt good quality and to the best of my knowledge they are still going no trouble 9 months on

Theres a company called j and r if i remember correctly. They sell shafts on ebay and i had two off them for 95 quid for my Mark two. I just popped the abs ring off and mechanic said they were really good for the price.

Stay away from ebay wishbones, not sure about other parts on there but the cheap wishbones are crap, received a pair with bushes pressed on halfway and the balljoint on one looked like it was about to snap off the end of the wishbone! then sent them back and took me months to get a refund..

agreed, you must have got them from the same guy as dannep off here, he bought some, thought they looked dogshit and ended up with a pair from us. The ebay ones looked exactly what they are, bargain basement chod that'll last a couple of weeks if that
