Door lock problems

   My drivers lock doesn't work with the key which means I have to open the passenger side and then reach through and pull the pin up. I swapped the barrel with the one off my old mango saxo (which worked fine) But once fitted it didn't work and still doesn't now i've taken it off.
   
   Anyone got any ideas why its being such a fagg or what I should/can do?

   mines the complete opposite, it wont lock but it'll open sorry for the unhelpful comment! lol

   Does it lock first time? Or is it a bit of a faff and chooses when it does and doesnt want to?

   The key on the drivers door never works. I can oly lock/unlock it with the pin on the inside. I put a new barrel on off a previous car i owned and it worked before fitting. Fitted it then the key wouldn't turn in that either.

   The first barrel is probably worn... And may sound stupid, but you say you got another barrel and replaced it. Did you try to unlock it with the right key, as it would be different seeing as its come from another car...?

   Yeah I did use the other key. It worked fine then as soon as I put it in the door and hooked it up it wouldn't turn. Now I've taken it back off the car it still won't move. Its really weird.

   Dont suppose the rods that operate the loving mechanism are bent at all are they?
