Worried about some car noises..

A couple of new noises have started when I'm driving and I don't like them

    1) when in 4th (around 2k revs) and 5th there is a high pitched but quiet vibrating noise coming from the front. i think it's gearbox as it stops when i'm in neutral or clutch down.

    2) Squeaking coming from the driverside front wheel. I reckon it's brakes but they don't really squeak if i slam the brakes on.

These all started since driving in the rain, went through a large puddle- water affected?

1.) That sounds more exhaust related to me. Make sure that there aren't any cracks where metal is vibrating against metal, because mine screeched like hell in low revs when this happened to mine.

2.) Tried putting some copper grease on your brakes?

1, have a look at the 2 bolts for the point between down pipe and cat, I had a squeaking noise which turned out to be this connection

2, as said try greasing up the areas where the backing of the pad meets calliper carrier

I hope these are the explanations. Could be true though as my decat was a thinner metal than the manifold- if this would make a difference, so the connection may not be perfect.

As for the brakes, i will give that a try, see if something like that works
