difference between 1.1 and 1.6 exhaust

    alright i have a vtr and i was wondering what is the differnce between the exhausts systems, such as are the connectors from the centre pipe to the backbox are they differnt on a vtr to a 1.1, for example would a 1.1 box fit on my car? stupid question but just need some reasurance. thanks

    Yep a 1.1 backbox would fit iirc, I think I remember seeing a vtr at scrappy with 1.1 backbox. Im not to sure what all the different connections are, I think most things are straight fit but when you get to the manifold it gets different, not 100% sure though. If you were putting a vtr backbox on 1.1 the bumper would have to bit cut slightly but I have seen 1.1s with vtr backbox when the bumper isnt cut away. Why would you want to fit a 1.1 on a vtr anyway?

    im interest in buying a peco exhaust and its on a 1.1 atm and i was wondering if it was going to fit lol

    the only difference is bore size. all exhausts are interchangable. for example, i have a 16v engine with 4-2-1 manifold and still using the 1.1 centre section and back box
