Head off, big job?

Got an oil leak on the head with this phucking Saxo, it's not mega though which is some consolation. No doubt it will get progressively worse..

Just wondering what kind of job it is or whether to send it off to my local indy depending on cost.

    Is it 8v or 16v?

They're not actually that bad. Will obviously need a head skim and pressure test though.

Really? Even though it's just repairing an oil leak, nothings boiled thankfully!

It should be fine,i love doing them done a few now on different saxo/106's not done any 16v's though.
Done one for a mate needed as cheap as possible so we didnt have it skimmed even though it had been overheating but it was fine.
There easy if you know the basic's obviously the timing belt has to come off,id time the engine 1st then take the head off, once all ready and belt on turn over x2 revolutions by hand and check for any tight spot's if all ok then it will be cool to start with the key.
Also check waterpump when timing belt off for play etc.
