SAXO VTS goes lumpy when warm

Hello all. Hope someone can help me with my issue.

I have a 2001 plate Saxo VTS. Recently it has started playing up. When started from cold I have no problems at all.

However if I stop the car, turn it off pop to say the shop and turn it back it back on again it goes "lumpy" and unresponsive only if it's still warm. The idle drops really low as though it wants to stall, and has a few times. Pulling off in first is like pulling off in third. It just loses all it's responsiveness.

I've been told to clean the plugs, the air intake (which is an forced induction kit), change the fuel and oil filters. Just wondering if theres something else I can do before I go through the hassle of doing all that.

    Cheers

Well as said a good service will be a start failing that could be temp sensor, coilpack or lambda sensor etc etc..

Personally I would remove all the air intake system including throttle body, clean everything and spray a little carb cleaner into the inlet.

Failing that remove the coilpack and spark plugs and clean those, maybe replace the plugs for the sake of a few quid.

Anyone know why they are called a 'forced induction kit'???
Surely they draw air the same as a normal air filter as opposed to something like a turbo which forces the air in?

Cheers lads. Spoke to a few blokes at work who know about cars (joys of working in engineering) and they all reckon it's more than likely a sensor issue telling the car it's cold when it's not. Means it's always on choke..

I think it's forced because its more enclosed than a standard one. I know the VTS standard one just sits there getting what air it can where as the enclosed kits are chanelling the air to it. Just my theory.

My saxo did this when hot so I replaced the coil pack & it`s been fine for over a year now.
