twenty five quid is better than Nothing. The cat on mine is coming off any way cause the down pipe bit is blowing.

I was told a max of £30.00 for a saxo cat.

I'd be happy with 20 or 30 quid. Money toward cost of new parts. I'll phone around a few scrap yards in my area and ask them. It is a genuine citroen one by the way. Just got the down pipe blowing.

May help , I got 112 quid for 4 cats at a scrap yard , 2 of then were small , one average size and one big cat of a BMW , also weighed in some alloy wheels and got 30 quid for them , mild steel is worth pennys and would be best keeping the shaft as Spair

you got dry bummed matey, genuine bm cats are worth more then that on their own. best ones are 406 hdi cats, fetching £220+ as scrap

I went to two scrap metal merchants, the first wasn't interested in them at all and only offered me the steel weight value, the second said he would only pay £3 per cat as he couldn't be sure what they were worth.
There are some sites on the net that pay for them.
    www.webuyanycat.co.uk
But I guess round here nobody wants them, I used to have some gypos come down to my unit offering me a tenner per cat a few years back.

Yeah, I had a feeling they werent worht nout. Im almost certain one of them is OK (offside one) so i might be able to sell it on.

The only problem that was wrong with the nearside one was it had this very loud whistle, like a teapot when it had warmed up.
