Important! : Help please

   Saxo won't start since changing gearbox, if I bump it, it starts but won't fire on the key. Starter motor has been changed battery is new, also changed all earth cables from battery, new crank sensor and still nothing it just sounds like the starter is spinning but not cranking the engine

   As far as I know the starter earths off the box, the earth from the box to the battery I've changed

   just trace back to all the wires make sure a good connection

   Theres more than one earth around there.

   U sure all 3 wires are connected on starter motor, and a earth is back on the gearbox ?

   Okay the starter is spinning but not turning the engine have you checked that the ring gear isn`t worn on the starter?If it is it`ll not engage.

    Yeah Cam checked starter wires all tight and cleaned terminals. earth to the box is on and the two wires that's bolt to the top of the box

    VTS or VTR?
    
    Either way, remove the coil pack with a spark plug in and see if you get a spark when someone tries to start the car.

    Vtr matey it's started first thing this morning but not when I turn it off and try starting again after a run round the block. I'll try the plugs but the engine don't even crank just hear the starter spinning

    If all you can here is the starter motor is it tight? Theres 3 botls one on the gearbox and 2 13mm bolts. Try put the clutch down when trying to start it, it could be a fuc*ked gearbox seized up.

    I'll give that a go tomorrow cam. but when the car is bump started the car drives fine gearbox is ok. it's just off the key
