Heater problems...

   Hi, for some reason the heater in my 51 plate Saxo has suddenly started blowing cold air.. it has always been toastie warm but last week it has started to blow cold after about 10 minutes, I have checked the water in the radiator and topped it up with an anitfreeze mix..... any idea's? Thanks

   as mochachino said....whats the temperature at on the dash?
   
   the 1st 2 things that popped into my head is either thermostat or head gasket.

   Hi, it doesn't have a temperature gauge on the dash! The head shows no sign of a leak so I'll check the thermostat. Thanks

   Try bleeding the cooling system mate.

   Had same problem, was an air lock in the cooling system. Bleed it like stevo said.

    Could be air lock, leaking rad/coolant pipes or head gasket.
    
    Edit: you won't know if the gaskets gone on just water side mate. If its gone oil side it will leak oil down the block. How quick did the heaters go cold? Like hot one day, cold the next?
