Citroen Saxo original Tyres

  1. #1
Hi, i purchased a Citroen Saxo back in 2004, with it doing just over 22k miles. I then replaced the standard wheels that were on the Saxo to alloys in 2004. The original wheels and the tyres that were taken off the Saxo have been stored in a garage covered in blankets. I was wondering if the TYRES on these wheels will still be okay, as i now wish to take off the alloys and put my original standard wheels back on.

Thank you for any help given.

Look at them, see if they have perished. If they havnt then they will be fine.

How would you know if they have perished? Sorry for the silly questions, not very up too speed with cars.

    Thank you

If the rubber is cracked or generally not up to scratch then its not worth it. Put a picture up and we should be able to judge

Thank you for getting back to me I have looked at the tyres and it seems there are no creases/marks etc. Do you know by any chance how much a garage would cost to replace the 4 wheels? I would ring them directly...but being as it is a Sunday.

Some garages might be open on a sunday. The one I use open until 1.

Do you mean how much would they charge to swap the tyres you already have?

I reckon if you're an attractive lass and you go in with a bit of boob and some leg on show they would do it for nothing
