What would happen if you had a de cat Mark two. All stainless steel manifold and system but a centre stainless steel silencer welded in. Weird question i know but Im worried when i get a manifold its gonna be too loud. I want one but I'd like to be able to keep the same volume as my system as it is now. I Can appreciate a note Change Will occur and some increase in volume, i just dont want it to be too loud just driving along at 30.

im sure you can get speicial wool stuff to fill your backbox with to reduce sound had to do it on my old moped, or u can just have a center section with silencer fitted s you said

My vts is fully de-catted at straight throw driving it gentle like as you said 30mph in 4th-5th it not loud at all, but about 3-4k rpm thats a different story

Well i'll see how it goes when its first fitted. (manifold) and let it settle. If its too loud after a while ill see about having the same place who made my custom fit exhaust split the straight through and weld me a silencer in.

I've had to purchase an underfloor cat for my gfs car, as it failed emissions because no Decat, so bare that in mind especially if mot is soon. No Decat will make it pop more than likely to.

when i had mine on it was was quite loud with a stainless centre section, upto 30 was fine but doing 50+ on the motorways couldnt hear my music. enjoyed most of it lol

The sound of a car is determined by the rear silencer. If you have a large box at the back even with decat, normal driving will be fine. A centre silencer will reduce the volume additionally.

currently i have a 3 inch tail pipe its not major loud. Just a nice deep idle tone, that picks up volume when you give it some beans. Its A bit loud on motor way which i expect but i just Didnt want it to sound Chav'd up at 30 mph lol.
