My car won't start:(

   Hello, ive got a 1.1 Saxo and it won't start.
   
   I've put another battery in but no luck, it will only start when its jumped when we using a booster pack my brother noticed a spark for the gearbox area.
   
   It also runs really rough, it pops smoke out so I got a new coil pack and still no change so new sparks tomorrow hopefully
   
   The battery is good because it will run the subs for ages, when i turn the key it turns over but then it will loose most clock lights and then there is a click when I let go of the key.
   
   Anyone know what's happening, thanks!

   check your earth points, especially the one ontop of gearbox

   Could the timing have something to do with the poor running? Or is that irellevant?

   Last night I finally got round to changing the spark plugs and the ht leads and then I put in a brand new battery which I got for Christmas, it started without any jumpleads and then it ran really smooth, two of the spark plugs were some cheap make which had rusted around the bolt and the other were NGK so I put in brand new Bosch plugs in and it was fine.
   
   After I started it and turned it off to open the boot the started it back up with no problems but then I drove it in 3rd to keep the noise down and part of the road goes up like a bump thing and as I turned it went up and stalled/cut out. I tried to start it off the key but no luck, bumped it and led it running for a while and turned it off tried to start but again it wouldn't. Whats wrong with it?

   When I went over the bump could this have knocked something?
   
   Also I cleaned the earth strap
