16v Start's but doesn't keep ticking over, idea's please?

As title, the car start's but sometimes tick's over for 30-40 seconds other times 2-10 seconds.

When I apply throttle it bogs then cut's out straight away.

    Ideas??

I've got the fuel line on the 2nd feed on the injector rail, and the fuel return on the 1st.. Is that the right way around?

I'll also add that that the TPS throttle position sensor that came on the inlet was a single plug.

So i changed it with my 3-plyg VTR TPS.. Someone told me that it would still work, but thought i'd mention it incase.

Also I think the fuel pump has a FPR and also has one on the VTS inlet. Would that cause problems?

    Cheeeers.

If youve done the fuel lines correctly why is there still an FPR on the pump? I thought you took that out and replumbed everything when going 16v as the FPR lives up on the fuel rail

Yeah you don`t need two fpr`s mate.

Would it cause it not to run though? And i'll remove the FPR from the pump then. Thanks =]

And to add, I blocked the fuel return pipe up. Heard loads of people doing this..

Also searched.. and alot of people still run both fuel reg's and they run, so I'm guessing it's something different?

Guessing no-ones willing to help because I didn't put the return fuel pipe in?

The pipe I got wouldn't fit.. So I blocked it off. Loads of people's 16v's are running with blocked off fuel return and both FPR's.. So must be something else?

I'll have a look today to see if i can remove the FPR in the tank..

    Only need one fpr mate....

Yeah I realise that bud, should run with both tho surely?

ill have a try to take it out tomorrow. Just weird how other members have both fprs and the return blocked.. and theirs run :s.

depends if you've plumbed it right. if you have an fpr on both supply and return then you'll see problems

I just have the fuel input connected. I have not touched the fuel pump, just connected the fuel pipe and blocked off the return.

I'm sure you need you fuel feed line from tank going to the first connection on your fuel rail I believe (connector closest to drivers side) then buy some hose from Valdosta or something £5 a metre and plumb the return line in to the other connector, it's simple, and that way your only using the fpr in the fuel rail as you will of ripped all the other lines out. That's how my conversions setup and it's spot on, hope this helps.
