Bit of an issue!! Please anyone help!!

   My cars all over the show. It's a Mk1 vts...
   
   1stly: the revs are all over the show and tick over is at 1.5k and above.
   2ndly: when you put ur foot on the throttle to pull away the engine cuts out!
   
   Don't even know where to start! Anyone got any ideas?

   Idle control valve..map sensor..throttle P sensor..coilpack..TDC sensor.. Quite a list mate id start with IDC.

   could have a vacuum leak, I would'nt of thought the icv would make it cut out really but the map sensor could do. is the EML light on?

   EML is on
   
   And it's not the coil cos I've just put a brand new 1 on and it stil shit!!

   Well if EML is on on a fault code reader will tell you whats wrong....
