read loads of posts yesterday about head gaskets, just to be safe i checked mine although about fainted when i seen it was white on some bits. shat a brick and checked the coolant and it is brimming it, and i put some in bout a month ago and it hasnt went down. anyway i heard people saying that its ok if there is some mayo on the cap, as long as it doesnt go through water a lot. iv never checked my cap before, ever. so it may be built up from months of driving or whatever. should i be worried though as like i said, loads of people on here have said its expected to have it white sometimes?
the old milky oil cap?

#2it can build up condensation on the cap if you do short journeys and the car isnt getting long runs to warm up and get rid of it. if its not causing any problems like overheating may be ok, but your coolant shouldnt be at the brim?

#3If its drinkin coolant then be worried....a small amount of mayo builds up with weather change and comes from condensation....if you've never took the cap off it's could just be months and months of build up...clean the cap off and run it for a bit and check again..usually revs are up n down with a leakin gasket as the engine will loose compression. If it worries you that much av a garage do a compression test on your engine brother. Also check your coolant hoses when the engines at temp and if there solid this usually points to a failin gasket
....hope this helps

#4Could be short jouneys - the 8vs love filling the breathers and under the cap with mayo in cold weather. However didnt you say you were driving this car about with a leaking radiator? Do that for too long and you will blow the head gasket

#5i know that was my fault as it was November and i just had water in it so got coolant that doesnt freeze and filled it up to be safe. stupid i know, might take some out tbh
