Failed MOT

  1. #1

my main concern is the "803: suspension: axle assembely - movement excessive - Offside rear outer".

i had failed last month and because it was past the 21 days i had to do a full test again. it previously failed on the nearside rear axle bearing, trailing arm excessive movement, so i got a second hand disc axle for my furio.

what part of the axle would that fault be? rear wheel bearing? the axle bearings are fine.

    thanks in advance

its the radius arm bearing mate, if there is no play in the new one an nothing else has gone wrong it should pass mate

no its not the radius arm that what the old axle failed on. jacked it up earlier and the is play in the wheel when i shake it at the 12-6. and sorted 3 other problem in 10mins. MOT man was being a real tosser

the stub pin on the beam cause it when water gets into them and fucks the bearings in the radius arm up causing them to pit the stub pins

its not the stub pin on the beam. thats what the old axle failed on and the mot code is 802. movement excessive - trailing arm

this is 803 a whole different thing,

doesnt even matter its the rear wheel bearing

IIRC, the rear wheel bearings don't tend to go too often on these cars. The axle needs an overhaul imo.
