Sad Sad Times :(

Right, So i put my car through a Pre-mot to find out what was wrong, and how much it would cost me to get her fixed, this is the list i was given by the garage

    Mot Fail Work -

N/S dip beam bulb incorrectly fitted (i can fix that)
BOTH rear suspension mount areas behind the wheels need welding
Wiring fouling on the N/S steering rack arm (my remote cable i can fix that)

    Advisory Work -

    Chip in the windscreen
    Possible camshaft knock
    O/S frayed seat belt
Front side repeaters - fading colour bulbs and lenses cracked
    Front side lights bulb colour
    O/S rear brake hose cracking
    Engine oil leak
    BOTH front suspension mounts rusty
    N/S rear brake judder
Front brake in balance and judder

I LOVE my car, and theres no way i can afford to get all this fixed
is it really worth getting all this fixed? and keeping her?
Or should i cut my losses, sell her and get something else, as i already have something else lined up if insurance etc is alright!

If anyone wants to take her on!
    Feel free!
But i want back what i paid for it or a near offer!
And i will be leaving my sub and headunit in aswell!
    Message me if interested!

Doesn't look all that bad to be honest.
Most expensive thing would be welding, unless you or a friend can weld.

Get the rear end welded and MOT it, Either sell it then, or you've then got a year for the advisories to be repaired.

Tbh, i think i have the starts of a h/g going aswell, she just seems like abit of a money pit, and tbh i really cant afford it, when i could possibly buy an 04 plate MG ZR with a new h/g and nothing wrong mechanically with it, which a mate owns! so i might just cut my losses

it might yes, and if it does im lucky enough to work next door to a garage who will do thigns on the cheap, and i have a mate whos also a mechanic who can do it for me if need be, will probably just cut my looses and start again

my mot is in about 3 weeks and none of the above work. yet it passed its mot last year and the certificate says its passed its mot, yet the certificate from the garage only has an emissions test pass, not any of the stuff pictured on the first post. why is this, is it because it was probz a dodgy garage or what? sorry to hijack thread by the way

Why not get the saxo fixed then if you can get it done on the cheap?

because welding isnt cheap, and the garage doesnt do welding, shes got 6 months MOT & tax on her, so ima jus sell her on, whilst i can she will be going on eBay today
