Sharp Clutch Bite, Loud bang...

How do lads, Merry Christmas Eve

This is probs gonna sound like a load of fluff becuase its quite hard to explain my situation, Basically just got the VTR on the road (Whoop).

And my clutch is either on or off, If you get what i mean? (Sharp bite or no bite).

When i push my cluch down, it has 2 different presures, Firstly its hard and when i push it down bout half way it starts to ease up, But i also get alot of resistance when i first push down too (Like a spring with 2 different tensions) becuase of this im finding it hard to control the clutch and and when it gets the stronger resistance it just jolts the clutch pedal up and jolts the car forward, when it does this there is a bang from the engine bay, dont think its engine mounts. (But im gonna replace them anyway).
I can also hear somthing coming from the gearbox/clutch when i press and release the clutch, this is with and without the engine running, Kinda sounds like theres somthing loose inside, not the high pitched squeel when the clutch bearing has gone.

I didn't mind it at first, but doing alot of stopping and starting is starting to get quite annoying becuase im jolting forward all the time.

Could anyone enlighten me on this? Maybe a new clutch and release bearing?

    Cheers for any advice guys

if its a clicking kind of sound you can hear, mine did this, eventually i shattered the thrust bearing and the prongs off the pressure plate.

    yes, eventually it just shattered

have you had a new clutch fitted, is the pedal in level with the brake pedal ?

Don't know about the clutch mate, dont think it has, and the clutch pedal is a little higher than the break one, but if i was to pull on it it comes up about another inch or 2, think i should just change the clutch? The previous owner said it was solid, but he was a bit of a twat.
