please help push button start

   hi ppl i could do with abit of help!!! ive looked at the other threads on push button starts but none with my problem..
   ive fitted the button and wires but when i put key in my car starts without pressing button but then when i press the button it cuts out.. ive swopped the wires on back of button thinking it was that but still the same
   PLEASE CAN SUM1 HELP!!!

   i would imagine it is a wiring problem. Sounds like as soon as your keys in the buttons already been told to start the engine. As a guess maybe Theres a wiring issue which is making the button think its being pressed constantly, making the engine fire up the moment the ignition is on.

   have you got a push button, or a push switch ? . . .
   
   the button will activate when its pressed and deactivate soon as its released. the switch will be on constantly, untill its pressed again to turn it off!

   its a push button.. but ive jst fitted it so a toggle switch n its working fine so im guessing it could b the button???

   possibly faulty button then! or wrong type.
   
   you want a toggle fitted anyway! as it will always have a live feed going even if the key is in your pocket! so pushing the buttom will aloow it to try and turn over! and the immob is the going thing keeping it from running!
   
   so switch, hidden, and it will cut the live so its slghtly harder to steal it lol.

   yeah great ill get a new button n hide the toggle switch the thanks ppl great help!!!
