Anyone on here fancy changing my clutch?

  1. #1
Something is up with my clutch, not to sure what but im just guessing it needs a new clutch, bite point on the clutch has allways been high since ive brought the car, went out for a drive today and after about 15 miles the feel in the pedal suddenly changed. Theres barly a bite point at all, it just releases so sharply and aggresivly... so im guessing i need a new clutch.

Was just wondering if anyone on hear would be able to fit me a new clutch? Im in northampton, can travel a little bit to someone. If anyone would do it, please can you post how much you'd charge to fit it, cheers Jordan.

FYI, buy a Valeo clutch....plenty of posts on here about cheaper brands failing after a few hundred/thousand miles.

Buy cheap = Buy twice...or more

so long as you don't supply some £50 Taiwanese ebay crap lol. Just get a good branded make, we only supply/fit Valeo clutches, for a few reasons, we've never had any trouble with them, they can cope with 90% of the common mods people carry out, they aren't that much more expensive and they are smoother then the cheapo ones, btw i've had the cheap crap fail within 100 miles before.

A customer supplied me with a cheap as chips drivemaster clutch for a 5 series, I told him I didn't want to fit it and I'd garantee it would go in a short time. He was abit of an arse and adiment it would be fine so I fit it for him. He drove it 7 miles home attached his caravan and burnt it out instantly. I put a valeo in it the next day. No point at all in using a cheap clutch. Valeo for my 1.1 was only £42 for full kit.

by the time you take vat off and price of clutch that means the guy is doing the job for about £20, guess you mean your doing it yourself because i wouldn't unlock my tool box for that, works out at approx £7 per hour!
