Go for it. I've never sprayed before and I did mine at the weekend and I think they look brill. Doesn't notice too much as it is not ott but it's the subtle changes that count. If your doing it yourself, make sure you prepare it properly first otherwise you will end up with a pony finish.

mmm i never even considered doing it myself, as i wanted it done properly...
but how hard is it to do?

what is the process of doing it aswel?

    1. take of moldings
    2. sand down to get rough edge
    3. primer
    4. wet and dry
    5. spray black
    6. lacquer...

I found that when i did this process for my centre console the paint was left quite soft, some1 told me it was because i didnt bake it... any advice on how to leave a nice crisp paint on something like the moldings?

    you've kind of got it
    1 yes
2 mask the area your not painting
3 yes but clean them first to get all contaminits off, sand 600 grit paper
4 yes about 2/3 coats take your time, leave for a hour or so
5 yes 1000 grit then 1200 grit nice and smooth
6 yes couple of coats let them flash dry before each coat, and take your time
7 yes 4to 5 light coats let flash dry between coats, take your time and you should get a nice deep shine

Haha... it's not as easy as you might think. To take the side mouldings (rub strips) off, you'll probably end up pulling the complete door card off (as you may find they've also been glued as well as plugged). New doorcards arent the cheapest of items from Citroen.

front arches, you need to take wheels off, take shit gaurd liner out of arch
you've got two torx screws to take out one at the bumper, and one at the bottom of the arch just under neath car, take them out, take your side repeater out and unplug wires, then it's a case of uncliping arche and you have two little clips go under bumper, little wiggle will free them.

    door pannels
you have one torx screw at the front off door, open the door as far as you can look in the door jam and you will see it take that out, the rest of door pannel is clipped and glued, the glue is normaly at the front so start to unclip from rear, when you come across the glue, your best bet is to get stanly blade put it onto a long peice of metal pole, don't bend the pannel but leaver it so you can get the blade in to cut into the bond, go for middle of bond so you don't damage anything, once you have done that just unlcip the rest.

    rear qauter

you have to take the inside pannel off first
once thats off look inside quater towards door pillar you will see a 10mm bolt undo that, unclip arch from rear bumper first working forward, you will come across the bond as you get to the door jam same as front with blade, then finnish unclipping.

    rear bumper

take rear lights out, 10mm bolt in each side, undo these, next ones are under neath, you will need to jack car and axle stand it, on the back of the bumper there's 2 10mm bolts undo these, pull the bumper free it will stick on tow eye just give it a pull.

    front bumper

in the arch there is one 10mm bolt, take these off, now the bit that can go wrong, bottom of the lights the plastic cover you need to get that off there only clipped on but are tight and easy to break 10mm bolts behind there, then under car again you will find 2 more take them out

you can leave them on, but you have to mask and cover the full car as you will get over spray all over it:thumbdown:
