Tried searching but cant find what im looking for.
Right i have a vts ecu with immobilizer, pickup ring, 2 keys and barrel. The car still Doesnt fire and am pretty sure everything is right and it comes down to the ecu side of things. There isnt no spark but fuel is being pumped round. Has anyone got any ideas as to what i could be wrong? Sorry if my explaining is poor im just tired lol
Any help will be much appreciated thanks

So you don't have the immobilizer key flashing on the dash? - so it's not locked.

Crank shaft sensor all good? got a spare one to try?

Yep tried another sensor still the same. No but what i dont get is the light doesnt come on if the right immobilizer is in or one not it at all. Only comes on if i put the immobilizer from my car in. Its complicated i saw a guide to unlocking it and they say it should flash until you put the chip/key near or inside the pickup ring but it is off all the time? It weird..

Was it a change of ecu meaning was it 1 pin to 3 pin or 3 pin to 1 pin?
  5. #5
Crossover loom, 1 plug ecu but plugged into my plug next to the passenger light all ok

And my cars a 3 plug

The immobliser wiring is different on single and 3 pins. Thats why it wont start.

Yeh but as its a crossover loom surely the interior loom in my car would be the same as the one it came out of?

Bump someone please help me out, im shit with wiring the pins on the vts loom dont all match up with the furio loom. Do i need to move them around? Ive got a pic if that helps

Have you checked the crash switch?
  10. #10
that cuts the fuel only doesn't it? ive pushed it in and nothing different happened

here is a photo of the 2 plugs

on the left is the vts engine plug and on the right is the furio interior plug, i just need to know which wires go where? looking at it from here and it doesnt seem right to me

Your problem is, you are using a Crossover Engine loom on a 3 Plug Interior Loom.

Just use the same loom? i.e. 3 Plug VTS Loom that will match up the same bits to the 3 plug Interior Loom?

so on these crossover looms are the sensors for mk1 or mk2? also if i knew which wires to change around it wouldn't be so bad, only looks to me as theres 5 or 6 that need moving
  13. #13
Splice them together mate, but as i said the immoboliser loom is different aswell so you will need to sort that out.
  14. #14
Yeh looks like im going to have to, any one know which one goes where? Really need to find out :/
  15. #15
bump. anyone has any experience at all with crossover looms going into a later mk2 car? did your car start fine by just plug & play?
  16. #16
Sorted it out was a locked ecu
And can must have been right about the immobilizer wiring different on the crossover so thinking what you said i tried my ecu in a mates quicky and didnt turn over so plugged in all the immobilizer and that and fired up so i unlocked it! Thanks cam

I now have no dials apart from fuel gauge, power steering comes on 2nd click, and it is not charging the battery. Ill try another alternator and see if it works. Any one else know about the other things?
