have you had the car long? could be the headgasket has been done before and they never bothered to flush the rad out. is it bad?

i have had the car for about 6 months. and we cleaned the radiator out last month beacuse i put a k&n induction kit on it and we decided to clean it. but as i said before it runs really well.

    Get a compression test done

Thats most likely a headgasket failure.

If you're interested in getting it fixed then i can offer you a head rebuild / headgasket. My prices are here: http://www.krisb.co.uk/category/pricing/

block off one end, put loads of petrol in it, block the the other end and shake it back and forth to water the goo and oil right down, then let it all out and flush it back and forth with a garden hose till its clean

if its still a mess id advise another rad

Could be a leak stop additive, they usually turn the coolant a shitty brown colour.

the head gasket has already been done, had it running earlier for a few seconds without the rad, just need to remove the crap from inside the rad, hoses etc...
