I think I have a crack in one of my pipes because my power steering has gone and there was fluid all over my drive, but I've been under the car and can't see where the leek is coming from. Any ideas? Thanks.

#2every chance that the pipe has rubbed through on the steering arm behind the engine, has the car been lowered? got good used pipes in £25 the pair plus postage

#3The car has indeed been lowered, Are the pipes easy to change or would you recommend a garrage?

#5Pretty easy you just need patience and a spanner set and then turn the steering wheel side to side 1000x to beed the system. Give it a go mate a job any one can do.
-
#6just pop it in a garage mate, but make sure theres a bend in the pipe or it will happen all over again
-
#7yeah i'd bend the pipe before fitting it so its clear of the rack
-
#8bollocks to a garage, if your mechanically minded its piss easy to do, and bleeding is a doddle, as Bedford said it takes a bit of patcience but youd be surprised how simple it is
-
#9I can't even find where the pipe is, I've had a look under the car but I can't see where it is, any help? Thanks.

#10You will be able to see if it is the pipe mentioned by looking in from the top, look for the track rods down by the bulkhead, its pretty easy to spot the pipes once you look down there, other option is jack the car up and look through the wheelarch, can see it all easily if you follow where the track rods go.

#11Ok, I'll have a look, are the pipes wrapped in something?
