not saxo, but need help

    hello people

    ive got a civic eg, which was a 1.3, but ive had a d14a1 engine put in, drove it home yesterday and all seemed to be ok except for the clutch slipping abit and it kept miss firing running on 3 cylinders every now and then. on the way home it started to miss fire really bad then cut out. it starts, but if you rev it it just cuts out, unless your really gentle on the accelorator, i managed to get it home at about 10 mph, but if you give it many revs it just cuts out, its got brand new plugs, nothing shows headgasket, any ideas?

    could be anything,but i'd check the coil packs / HT leads first. After that maybe cam or crank sensors?

    I had a similar problem, mine turned out to be 2 cheap nasty spark plugs which made the engine on my saxo runs like a pig. Always try the cheapest things first like the spark plugs, ht leads, oil filter, fuel filter etc
