Nevre realised you could get a up rated helix clutch release bearing?

    http://www.rallynuts.com/citroen-mot...e-bearing.html

just brought a helix 6 paddle clutch and pressure plate witch will be fitted next weekend but also im replacing the gearbox at the same time.

i need to get a new clutch rlease bearing anyway, am i better off going for one of those over a standard release bearing?

( anyone ever used 1 of theses?)

    thanks josh

If you can find them, get one, most say you can't get them, I found out you can get AP ones but had already fitted a standard one.... It's noisy as fuck,

decided im going to get the helix up rated clutch release bearing not to bad price at £33,

    there are 2 different ones ( 96 to 99 )mk1 or ( 2000on )mk2

my car is a mk2 saxo vtr turbo

my helix 6 paddle clutch and pressure plate is a mk1 design, but im already using a mk1 vtr flywheel, will i need the 96-99 uprated release bearing?

will i have to use a mk1 vtS flywheel?
(is there any difference between the vtR and vtS flywheel)

will i have to use a mk1 vtS gearbox? or can a mk2 gearbox be used with a mk1 clutch

    thanks josh

gearboxes are all the same...doesnt matter about them

if your urnning a mk1 fly and its a mk1 clutch youll need a bearing to suit that year

as for uprating its defo...a good quality thrust bearing can be up to £30 anyway, so uprated is bargain

sure the AP ones are kicking on for £80!

my standard one is noisey as fuck. but a stock one wont last as long with an uprated cover anyway, wish id found an uprated on before i fitted my stock one.....its pissing me off but im not pulling the car apart to change it till its fucked tbf

oh right so will my mk1 vtR fly wheel be the same as a mk1 vtS flywheel then, both 200mm?

so it dont matter if its a mk1 or mk2 vtS, or vtR gearbox?

as for the helix release bearing its on sale it think aswell :-), as mine is a mk1 helix clutch ill need the (96-99) release bearing wont i?

just looked on that web site:
