How long do they last?

Ive been looking for another saxo for a while now after I crashed mine, but there's quite a phew around the 100,000 miles mark. The most I've seen one go up to is 125,000 so I don't really want to buy one if it's not going to last. Just wondering if is worth buying one that's done around 100,000?

piece of string etc, depends how it's been maintained. I know a dude with a 200.000 miles vts, he hasn't even had to change the transmission yet.

Completely depends how the car has been looked after and treated by it's former owners to be honest

I find that on average they're ok til about 100k-110k ish so wouldn't buy one after the 90k Mark

But as I said before it completely depends on how its been treated before, could only have 60k on the clock and be a complete nail

Mine 2001 vtr is on 126k miles...bought it on 105k, passed both mots i have put it threw...not using any oil at all or water

as said all depends on how well its been looked after

also there are lots of low mileage saxos on the internet...just cost more

mines on 103,000 and still going strong. passed both mots with flying colours since i've had it.

1st car only had 67k on the clock and was fucked within a year, depends how its looked after.

Mines just clocked about 96k runs just as well as when i got it on 50k, if they are looked after and parts are changed when they should be they won't give much problems engine wise imo, although if buying one I probably would'nt go above around 70k purely because of wear and tear and there are alot of people that don't look after them!

The newest Saxo is 8-9 years old so at 12k a year average that's still pushing 100k.

A lot of Saxo's are over the 100k mark these days.

The engines are not known for dying early, it's everything else that falls apart, especially if they have not been looked after.

And it easily selects gear with no knocks or notching?

Using it around town will put more wear and tear on the engine.

I change the oil + filter every 8K. 67K in and the car is tight.

sure does no problems to repor from the box more the linkage being sloppy like all saxo's.
