I have a Saxo 1.1i desire y reg 2001
I had a problem with my ecu due to engine overheating, so I changed the ecu which cured the problem, but as the ecu I got was a reconditioned one I had to remove the immobiliser as the orange light was perminantly on.
Since then the car just randomly cuts out while going along, usually when changing gear. It restarts fine and runs well apart from this.
It seems to happen most when I put fuel in, the engine management light comes on and starts cutting out, then after a while it will go out and be fine until the next time.
Is this problem related to the ecu/ immobiliser or is it another problem
Any ideas ?.
