Car wont rev past 3000rpm after putting a 4-2-1 manifold on

Fitted a 4-2-1 manifold, the manifold came with a lambda sensor already in it but will only fit the plug for the 2nd plug which is suppost to read clean air if i right, so iv left it disconnected, car starts fine and revs upto 3000rpm with no problem but will not go past 3000 even with foot flat just stays at 3k, engine management light is obv on how can i solve this problem?
    Cheers

First reads dirty second reads clean, wire the second one in and tuck it somewhere it can read clean air, mine is tucked in the front wing.

Sounds like it is in limp mode, disconnect the battery to reset the ecu, should sort it.

    is that common :/?

+1 sounds like you have got the wrong lambda plugged into the mani, 1st one needs to be in and 2nd one sleeved

Must be my problem the 4-2-1 came with the 2nd one plugged in :s weird so if i rake the 1st one out of the standard mani & put that in the 4-2-1 and sleave the 2nd it will run normal and stop the ecu from limiting it to 3000rpm?
    Cheers

im not sure they are related, but yes, thats how it should be, first one from old mani into the 421 then second one sleeved to read clean air.

also, couldnt ring you earlier mate sorry, left my phone at work

still same problem just put a brand new green lambda in the exhaust and connected it up still not going past 3000rpm :@

Yeah it won't because you haven't reset the ECU yet.

disconnect the battery to reset the ECU. minimum of hour. most people say 6 hours is the best time to leave it disconnected.
