Important! : Car Won't Start!

  1. #1
Yesterday my uncle fit in a new clutch for me in my citroen saxo open scandal 1.0L . The battery had been off for a good few hours whilst he was working on the car. When everything was put back in and we were ready to drive a clicking sound came from under the bonnet and a key light flashes up on the dashboard when he turned the key. We think the car has immobilised itself even though there is no keypad in the car. I've found a way of getting rid of the clicking sound and key light but the car still won't start. My uncle says that the injector is not sending any fuel through to the engine and there isn't much spark from the spark plugs, Bearing in mind this car started perfectly well the day before, no problem what so ever. Maybe it has something to do with the battery. Please if anyone could help or understands what the problem is i would be most grateful.

    Just wanna drive my car

cheack to make sure the earth lead is connectted to on the gearbox then make sure the crank sensor is plugged in, also try locking it and unlocking it as that can reset the immobilliser if batterey hasbeen of and put the battery on a very low charger over night to rule out the battery being flat..

    hope this helps matt

Thank you so much for all your help everyone. It did turn out to be the earth wire. The screw holding it down just kept turning so it wasn't properly earthed. So glad to be back out on the road! Cheers everyone! :-)
