#2It will indeed, all 8v head spacing is the same. I currently have a Janspeed 4-2-1 manifold for sale if you're interested, it's done less than 2k miles.
-
#3can you send me a pic?
-
#4If your looking at aftermarket with 4-2-1 you will have to move oil filter, a 4-1 you dont. Thats if you have a mk2 (cat in mani) but standerd are the same iirc.
-
#5also it has to be the right mk though right? eg a 1.1 mk1 mani would not fit a 1.4 mk 2 car?
-
#6It will i think some people de-cat them this way.
-
#7well basicly i think ive got a mk 2 car with a mk1 engine in. and at the moment a mk 1 mani and exhaust set up, but the mani and the down pipe dont quite sit flush, theres about a 2 mm gap and no room for making it smaller, also the exhaust doesnt bolt on the bracket underneath the car. so im assuming a aftermarket mani will bypass the mk1 oilfilter setup but sit right and bolt on,?

#8Look at your ecu, under bonnet above drivers wheel arch, does it have 3 plugs or one big one? If it 3 plugs its a mk2 engine, if its 1 big one it a mk1.

#9theres some lies and some truth in these answers, YES any 8v mainfold will fit any 8 v car, if its a cheaper 4-2-1 maifold and you have the remote style oil filter then the oil filter set up has to be chanegd to the mk1 canister style, if you have the mk1 filter style then it'll fit fine, you can buy 4-2-1's for mk2's with the remote oil filter that fit straight on but they are expensive, or yes you can buy a 4-1 and these usually go straight on no matter what ages it is, but no one can give you a definite answer until we know what engine you have
dose your car either have a cat in the manifold, 3 plug ecu or a remote oil filter? Also what make is the manifold your buying? -
#10i put a mk2 furio mani on mk1 vtr engine if that helps at all
-
#11in case you do need to relocate the oil filter this is the list of what you need
Oil filter insert - Citroen part number 1103A7
Mk1 Oil Filter - Citroen part number 1109N3
M10 Tap
M10 Screw (to block oil return hole) -
#12thanks for all the help guys. ive got a three plug ecu and when i got the car the cat was in the mani, but the oil filter was jammed against it (i think the filter is further to the left out of the way in a mk2 engine) and the dip stick is on the right not in the middle, so i assume this all means right car wrong engine. what happened is that teh car was overheating, which the MOT guy said was down to a dead spark plug, but other people have said it was the cat and the oilfilter being jammed together. so i changed the mani to a mk 1 version and have my cat under the car now, but like i say the mani fits fine, but the down pipe does not bolt on underneath and can not be tightened so that it is flush with the mani fold. here are some pics of her before i changed the mani:

and to answer your question, unless i can get a good deal on here im gonna have to get one of the cheapo £130ish ones off ebay, cos im strapped for cash, but this noise is doing my head in, and im pretty sure its effecting both economy and performance. thanks again for all your help -
#13Well since the oil filter is at the bottom of the block i'm assuming a mk1 mani should fit?
If so, the mani i'm selling will be a straight fit buddy. -
#14how much is it, and can you send me a pic please
