Diagnostic tool for a Mk1 1.4?

   Anything available for a 99 plate Mk1 that will read /clear codes or do I need expensive specialist equipment?

   depends if you have a 30 pin diagnostic socket or a 16 pin obd2 type

   If OBD2 16 pin I take it a Ebay cheapie will do the job?

   I bought a Maxiscan M300 0BD 2 for my 1999 Saxo 1.4 Auto and it does not work - it's the 16 pin plug. It powers up the reader but just shows 'Link Error' so don't buy one!
