I have a mk 2 saxo 2002 and my gearbox has broke
I have seen on ebay but its 2001 does anyone know if it will be the same?

All saxo and 106 gearboxes are the same.

i'm guessing I cant just get like a normal saxo gearbox will have to be one from a vtr?

As Cam said ALL saxo and 106 gearboxes fit. Apart from automatic obviously.

no it will have 5 reverse speeds and one forward.
any box will fit. fit a 1.1 as theyre common as muck and cheap, then find a decent box while its on

All the same fitments but different ratios, I would try and get a VTR or 1.4 box if i was you

I would not infact my choice would be the opposite, they would be last resort, i would have a 1.1 or vts box or xsi but they cost more.

Unless you enjoy the way the vtr bix drove, go for an s box. I have a 1.1 box on mine and its a different car!
