vts and vts alt pulley and bracket

    right my vts bottom alt pulley decided to die the rubber done one,anyway to hard and to long to get a vts pulley and cant find one local

    question is i found a vtr 5 ribbed one still on a engine, i no the offset is different to the vts one,as i been told if i use it it will chew the belt, so do i use the vtr alt bracket and my vts alt i had on the vts bracket and use same belt?? :0 many thanks

    I don`t think your idea is going to work mate,send a pm to mandyslover70 on here he`ll sort you out with a vts bottom pulley mate.

    i need to find sumat tomoz and cheap it jus always gets worse with this car

    is there no way of doing 8v set up on the 16v then? i seen a few posts about it and what not

    just not been very direct in how to do it in all the info i found/find theres one with a pic of the part numbers of the 16v set up but the 8v was a broken link so i couldnt compare

    ok i seen how it done now and defo no 8v lower pulley

    i take it 106 gti is same?

    i had part 8v setup on my vts
    vtr belt with vtr brackets, vts alternator and vts bottom pulley

    i got a bottom pulley for sale if you need one
