Central Locking fob - reset

  1. #1
Can someone point me in the right direction?

Changed the battery and now isnt locking and unlocking, even though light flashes.

Ive checked the transponder box and theres no sign or water damage or loose wires etc

So is it just a case of resetting the key/box with eachother??

I'm sure theres a way to do it yourself inside the car...like holding buttons down for certain length of time....

Just cant figure it out, or find it anywhere on here!

I hate using the key to unlock my car

  13. #13
    yup

if some one has fitted a toad alrarm would it stop the rcl working
  15. #15
depends if the toad alarm incorporated central locking, therefore the standard c/locking would be disabled but should work throught the toad key fob. if not then you either need new batteries in the citroen fob or to have it recoded, although i'm not 100% sure how the recoding is done on the mk1's.

ok cheers mate the thing is the toad alarm has been disconnected before i bought car so i dont have that fob how would i go bout making the standard one work again
  17. #17
i'm not sure how the recoding of the mk1 fobs goes, best contact citroen i think
