revs holding when accelerator is released

    hi not usealy me asking or help but i have this problem with my mk1 vtr i have fited a s1 rallye inlet and had various problems with it but put this rev problem down to the old rallye icv leaking i have since fixed this and still have the problem it makes it very hard to drive as it dosnt slow down when you let off it's like cruse control can anyone think of anything that might cause this thanks tom

    is the throttle cable free i.e returning when you let off? does it feel nice and smooth or stiff

    had a similar problem on my vtr, was the vacuum pipe from the brake servo leaking. worth checking out

    Similar problem when my VTS engine was first fitted

    Was the ECU coolant temp sensor

    thanks for your ideas but the T/C is new will check the pipes and the temp sensor was replaced a couple of months ago and seams to work as it comes on and off choke ok

    LOl this is the same problem i am having mate with my rallye! i Cant fine anything to help it let me know!
