    right im wanting to do a 1.1 to vtr engine conversion. its a 3 pin plug ecu model.

    so all i need it:
    engine
    unlocked 3 pin ecu

    is there any thing else that will need changing to make it just work

    and the things i will change soon after its fitted are:
    suspension struts
    brakes
    wishbones and ARB
    radiator with twin fans

    is there a how to thread i havent found ?

    throttle cable, rad,hoses,fans,fuel return system,engine mount bracket thats welded to o/s inner wing,loom

    ye i understand rad, hoses, fans,engine mount. do u need the fuel return on the 1.6 8v ? or can u blank it off ?
    and do you just use the 1.6 throttle cable instead of the 1.1 ?
    just engine loom to 3 pin vtr unlocked ecu ?

    iirc 3 plug silvertop vtr engines dont have a fuel return i think its just blacktop vtr 1 plug engine has a return and yes you need a vtr throttle cable plus there is a way around welding the mount bracket look at kenny's diary hes put a vts in his 1.1 without welding a mount bracket

    Only the old black tops have returns single plug and three pkug silver tops don't use hem, you can use the 1.1 mount plenty of people use them on 16v conversions and a lot of vtrs come with a small Rad as standard so really the only thing you need is a loom, also get a gear cable from a bike shop for a few quid its the same thing no need to buy a whole new throttle cable kit just to replace the cable itself
