saxo vtr misfire 2003

Hi i bought my saxo VTR about 3 weeks ago and its been sitting on my drive since i bought it and i have regularly been turning the car over to avoid a weak battery!

i topped up the water levels with anti-freeze and water and shortly after i turned the car over and heard a high pitched noise coming from what sounded like the cambelt so i took the cover off the cambelt and it seemed to be fine. i then turned the car over again and the noise had gone but the engine was mis-firing and there was some water coming out of the exhaust.
i think it may be due to the car having very little fuel when i bought the car, i am not good with cars and i have been told the injectors can get blocked when they have little fuel but im after a second opinion if this isn't the case

    any comments appreciated
    thanks

more than like because its been run for a few minutes then stopped run it up for about half hour so it get properly warm

the exhaust water will be build up condensation again run for longer give a few rev will clear it

noise was more than likely the alternator belt

if its been ran really low on fuel then it will have sucked shit up off the bottem off the tank put a fuel filter on as that may be bloked and letting bits thru.. try putting a fuel treatment thru it you can get them from halfords, wilcos, ect most car places inc most petrol stations get the petrol injector one that will clear and lubricate everything in the fuel system (really good, we use these at work)

if not try spark plugs then coil pack.

    hope this helps, matt
