VTS Problems

   So last couple of weeks my VTS has had a few problems.
   
   first thing is when i start the car it then stalls straight away, only way to keep it running is to keep the revs high.
   
   secondly, when driving the car revs itself when changing gear and when stationery.
   
   The car is only used at weekends.
   
   Im thinking either coilpack, engine temp sensor or idle control valve.
   
   any help will be much appreciated.

   I would say idle control valve mate, mine S was the same. Have you tried to clean it?
