saxo wont start also smashed rear window

   Hi i have just brought a 99 t reg saxo 1.4 westcoast i got the car realitivly cheap of a m8 and collected it tonight, now when i got to the car the battery was quite flat, enough power to work lights ect, so whilst on my way home bieing towed i decided to bump start it wich worked, so i could demist all the windows properly and have the heaters on, when i got the car home i decided to cut it out and see if it would start but it wont with the key it will bump start bunt not off the key everytime i turn the key the battery light goes off like normall but theres a little red light next to the hazzard swich that cums on any help would be gratefull another problem was when i got the car home i decided to turn the rear heated window on to clear it which it did fine but when i took the key out the ignition it smashed my back window clean out any help would be gratefull. thanks callam

   The alternator maybe dead, or the batt maybe the started motor has failed also. Dunno about rear window tbh seems to hapoem to a few people though.

   not sarting will be new battery needed or ignition fault

   the battery is good ive checked that and tried another one, when i turn the ignition key it just clicks from under the glovebox and the red l.e.d next to the hazard light switch flashes, there was also a fuse that has bin taken out and when i put a new one in and then try it sounds like an alarm going off,

   ive got a keyfob with mine, just the batterys are dead and looks like its missing something :L

   yh my central locking is working fine, the only other thing ive not seen is a code light cum on at all on the dash

   hmm my problem is kinda similar but central locking is dead. Im suspecting immobiliser or locked ecu on mine

    Havent tried as of yet as its half painted and im just looking to get the windows down to remove the rubbers but cant even do that at the moment lol will maybe give it a go but its at a very awkward angle to get out of the shed!

    Sounds like its shorting out tbh mate. Have a look at the wiring on the starter motor. Could also be the starter motor is knackered.

    Sounds like an aftermarket alarms been put in and is immobilising the engine judging from what youve said. As for yhe rear window, it happens and is bloody un nerving!!
