    I hear Admiral talked about a lot, but just check every company you can.

    and yeah admiral/elephant has allways been the cheapest for me and im young... if you count 21 as young.

    adrian flux were cheapest i could find after a few dys searching but still had to pay 3500

    We have are 19yr old son on are 1.1 sax as the main driver and its now coming round on hes 3rd year at £1500,last year we got it for £1300.
    Nothing is coming close.does anyone think we are still doing ok at 1500.
    Alot of company's have stop takeing on named drivers under 21.

    That seems very expensive to me. I am 19, in my 3rd year of driving on my own policy on a VTR and I pay around £900 per year TPFT.

    try quinn direct mate been with them for 6 years (although will be changing this year as for past two years my premiums have stayed the same)
    very good cheap company for inital insurance purpose only, although they wont fully comp a car worth less the £1500

    I first used Adrian Flux for my first year.. they put u on a first drivers policy which was cheap. Best phoning them for the best quote... this year I knocked 60 quid off each month as I haggled haha.. that was with elephant

    Honestly like I aid above, ask a meerkat for a price. get th top 3 and play them off against eachother over the phone. I just did mine today, got it from £950 down to £830. thats a lot of money to save. The main ones seem to be Quinn, Admiral, Elephant. My advice would be.
    1) price comparison website
    2) ring up top 3 and see how much you can get off each one
    3) have a spare few £££ to spend on your car

    i must be the only person to fins co-op insurance the cheapest. was passed 3 months then bought a vtr insured for 1400 fully comp and im 19... best thing to do though is just try every single insurance company you can think of. youll know for definate your getting the best deal possible then

    Insurance on the diesel saxo's are mental expensive! Could try beatthatquote.com they quoted the cheapest for me at £303 tpft.... ouch!

    I think quinn is pretty good too.. i'm 20 payin 1400ish on my vtr and I don't even have a years no claims yet. Although that is tpft.
