Rear axle

  1. #1
Hi all,i am having problems removing a rear axle off a donor car to put on mine.
The problem i am having is removing the hand brake cables from the metal plate they go through to where they are attached to the brake lever,i have removed them from the lever itself but cant get them to pull through the metal plate,if there is any other way of removing the axle and leaving the hand brake cables in place could someone please explain as i cant even see how they remove from the caliper itself,i know my post may sound laughable to some but please remember this is a first for me.
    Thanks in advance Cocker.

OR, disconnect the brake lines from the calipers and just leave them hanging there
