Juddering + EM Light

    When crusing at normal speeds eg 30mph in 4th gear (about 2k rpm) The car starts to judder and only just my engine management light came on im guessing maybe its spark plugs? If not will have to go and get a diagnostic.

    I had the coil pack changed 5 months ago best not be that!

    you can get ECU testers for under £20 now... might be worth investigating! amazon BTW

    same problemo my friend, could the spark plugs make the engine management light come on though?

    Yeah spark plugs can cause engine management light lol when i 1st got my car the light was on because of the plugs sooo im takeing the car to garage tomorro ill let you know what it was

    please do, is yours like in a pattern, as in at a certain amount of revs or gear, the car will judder and light will come on?

    also this has happened ever since iv had the car although its the first time iv seen the light come on, i may not have been paying attention before though?

    also it used to happen if id drove the car for a bout 5 minutes for one day, then the next day it would be lumpy as fuck and had to boot it to clear it :/

    Could be blocked injectors.

    Alryt dundee? my engine check light came on permamantly weather it was juddering or not and it usualy judders at about 30mph from 3rd gear to 4th gear at about 2000rpm and if i put more power on the acelerator it goes away but the engine chek light stays on. But this morning the light has gone out -_- but im off to the garage after dinner wen they can fit me in get to the bottom of this lol.

    Well my saxo came up with 3 faults lol -_- a code 1 or summet on the computer he said so cud b a numba of stuff they gta investigate and the oxygen sensors need replaceing, this is cause when i got my exhaust changed they used the old oxygen sensors, i tell ya now B&M exhaust and tyers do the shittest job ever lol

    Ideally get them sent away and get them ultrasonically done, i think saxp members even get a discount at 1 place IIRC. Thats a quite expensive avenue to go down though so maybe just some redex or 10k boost type stuff?

    not a problem at all today, granted i was a bit more cautious, and it pulled like fuck in 4th and 3rd, which is normally the point that it would judder. got my mot tomorow so im gonna wait and get my coil pack changed + plugs, regardless if it does it again, its a problem i could do with out tbh

    what were the other two faults mate?

    not sure pal they need to keep it for a day and investigate they said it came up as code 1 twice which could b 1 of many things, they changed oxygen sensors (70 quid) and he said see how it runs if u notice anything bring it back. soo not sure what the other 2 problems are atm lol

    mine does this but only when its cold, my engine managment light is on also. Im sure mine is also the oxygen/lambda sensor so ill be replacing that, as for the juddering I am going to replace the spark plugs, clean all the sensors TPS/stepper motor/ICV then see how it is, other than that it may need sensors replacing or coilpack.

    Yeah they changed oxygen sensor and it drives fine now soo don't no why theres 2 other faults i wouldnt of known lol

    hows it going mate, did you get the faults from that garage, i suppose if your cars fine just now then it wouldnt matter?

    Mine judders when cold,this morning it was really bad & cut out on me twice before starting.Funny thing was I had the ecu scanned yesterday for codes & it came up with no fault codes.The engine management light isn`t on either,so I used some Redex injector cleaner took it for a run & its fine now.

    naaa mate now the sensors been changed im haveing no problems lol not gonna take it back tobe honest even if there is suposadly 2 other faults lol

    good stuff, mines has been ok (touch wood) since when i mentioned it, had its MOT today and passed, i dont know how but it did, so might get new coil pack soon

    hAHA my car faild its MOT miserably needed new axel, and ball joints also the wish bone cost me about a month wage lool atleast its almost fault free now though and should last a while
