Ecu immobiliser etc

    Hey all.
    Got a 1999 gti with single plug setup I'm breaking.


    Tried unplugging the black box behind the fuse box while running but this hasn't unlocked my ecu, basically, to sell it, I know I will need to include the chip from the key, the ring from the ignition and the ECU, but what else?

    The box looks different to the one on my old VTR but I still unplugged it and it's still locked.

    Don't wanna rip anyone off that's all

    That's what I was expecting, I pulled glove box and all heater ducting put and it's not anywhere to be seen :/

    Its up behind the passenger fuse box. You can see on the 2nd pic the wee slot that the box uses to slide onto a small metal bracket.

    Certain it wasn't there but I'll look again when I go over to it next, thanks mate, was sure that was the Problem but confirmed

    Mine was behind the middle of the centre console strapped in with a rubber tie
