doesnt want to start!

   Got issues with my car starting from a cold engine. Its somewhat intermittent too. It doesnt like starting, ie it will turn over, attempt to start and then die. Add some throttle and it fires up. You have to warm it up with fast idle (around 2k) for about 2 mins before it'll go. Its just started to happen.
   
   Its a 1.1 spi. Already changed the stepper motor, given the throttle body a good clean, new sparks and changed the coolant temp sensor. The HT leads aint that old either. Ordered a new air temp sensor but I doubt it's that. Any other suggestions? Had a troll of some old threads and someone said about tappets?

   air sensor arrived today, fitted it and still same issue

   Try and give the map sensor a clean?
   
   Mine doe's this sometimes.. but it's once it's warm

   not sure if the HDZ engines got one, i'll have a nose later! Hadnt even though of it tbh cheers for the help

   When did you last change the fuel filter?It may be clogged up.

   only a month or so ago. Sady I found out today I've lost my job, so the cars probably going to have to come off the road now anyway :/

   new job! Win! So need the car again, tappets adjusted, wasnt that.....

   My car had exact same probs the other morning so put some injector cleaner in the tank & its fine now.
