knocking sound from front wheels

    Hi all can anyone help me? i got a knocking when going round corners i know you all will say drive shaft! but its not as i done them and i got told it could be the deff, has anyone else came across with this same problem, as i can't afford to keep replacing different things on it, many thanks mark....

    did you replace both with brand new or used?

    Does it knock goin round corners left and right? Or just one way?
    Have you checked bearings?
    Daft as it sounds have you had the wheels off lately? Check wheels are bolted up correctly.

    If the wheels wasn't bolted on properly it would constantly knock then eventually get louder and the thread on the bolts get so knackered they pop out.

    I would take a wheel off, and look for play in any of the parts, such as:
    top strut mount
    drop links
    ball joints (most likely would be this(happened to me))
