Removing rear wheel arches

  1. #1
The previous owner of my saxo vts had it slammed on its arse! but the problem is the rear wheel arches are still in place and i had a couple of people in the back and it did alot of rubbing! when i looked at the tyres on the back the drivers side as now got a deep slice all the way around the tyre and it is very close to going all the way threw. So how do i remove the inside of the arches? do they just pull out or do they have to be cut out? and is their anything i should be careful of if we have a wet day and they arches are gone, could the water do anything?

    Thanks in advance

Will rust the arches/boot - eventually.

Your tyre's are scraping against the back bumper bracket. Metal on rubber is never a good thing.

    You either need to:

    Fit lower profile tyres
    Fit stiffer dampers
    Bend/flatten the bumper bracket

Or fuck the rear passenger's off, before you have a blow out, resulting in a very scary spin and/or deadly crash.

Dont be driving on tyres with cuts in them for one. Id alter the ride height so its low but functional, not scraping

If it was my car i would lift it up a bit rather than start pulling bits off it, not sure if you are any good with doing that yourself but don't think its too expensive to get it adjusted by a garage or someone on here

arch liners are there for a reason, you should keep them in place
