oil leak

noticed a small pool of oil under the car this morning and looked under and noticed all the driver side bottom arm, and driveshaft are covered in oil even the inside of my alloy has it in there theres a bit of oil thats run down from the rocker gasket but i dont think this much could leak i dont know weather its gearbox oil or engine oil though i think its engine because its black and grotty any ideas where this could be coming from. ?

Smell it, does it smell of gearbox oil (really pungent and nasty smelling compared to engine oil). If its not a drive shaft oil seal or a cracked gearbox casing I reckon its a CV boot thats come off and coated everything

doesnt smell of gearbox oil and gearbox oil isnt black when my driveshaft on the other side popped out a few months back it was like fresh oil in their so its gotta be engine oil.

could still be a CV joint depending on what its been filled with. Best to check literally everywhere, only one you cant really do easily is the crank seal on the flywheel side but you'd see it seeping it between engine and box

the gearbox is on the otherside and the only thing thats got oil on is sump and the driver side stuff

My bad I didnt see that you said it was drivers side! Could be the rocker cover - mine did something similar it had split at the back and was running down the block and pooling on the road as I hadnt put it back correctly and split the gasket. Crank seal stuff still applies though or a bad leak from the headgasket, front corner of the engine

sounds like crank seal, i had this on my vts when i had it.

crank or cam seal would be my guess

how would i check the crank seal dont know where it is lol ?

The crank seal is the bottom of the engine behind the alternator pulley.

so best option is to cleain oil the oil up replace my rocker gasket and see if that solves it if not go and get crank seal looked at at a garage? . and also would u say it would be safe to use a pressure washer on my suspension components to get the oil off like the bottom arm nd stuff like that ?

Yes to both your questions, give all the oil affected parts at the bottom of your engine a brush over with Gunk degreaser(work it well in)then pressure washer off.
